Tianyi „Tanny“ Wu graduated from Art College of Shenzhen University in China. Her works often blend Eastern wisdom with Western aesthetics. The process of creating these paintings is a dialogue with her own soul, a precious opportunity for self-awareness. She hopes to transform the various emotions she feels in her heart into expressions of love. Tanny is fascinated by exploring the symbiotic relationship between Chinese xuan paper and various painting pigments. Occasionally, she incorporates elements of flower specimens or plants. Some of the petals and leaves, she collected from the activities of praying possess the energy of love, as well as the wish for altruism, expressing love for the world and all living beings.
