Mirela Trăistaru's artistic work spans various fields and disciplines. The Romanian is not only a painter, but also a costume designer, graphic designer, set designer and specialist in body painting and monumental works. This versatility has led her to curate the Art Book Biennial in Bucharest as well as numerous international exhibitions. Originally from Bistrița, Mirela Trăistaru graduated from the Romulus Ladea High School of Visual Arts and the Ion Andreescu Academy of Visual Arts in Cluj-Napoca, obtained a Master's degree in Painting at the University of Arts Bucharest and a PhD at the Western University of Timișoara.
