Laura Rikman creates jewellery inspired by human experiences and relationships. Due to her work as an artistic engraver for the Royal Mint of Spain, she tends to create mostly small formats or even miniatures. Her collections focus on upcycling antique pieces of jewellery. Vintage pieces are enhanced with painted miniatures, engravings and drawings and given a new lease of life. She finds her motivation in creating memories to save herself from oblivion. After all, for the artist, memories are everything that makes us human and that we contain.
