He holds a BA in Sculpture from Central St. Martins and a Master's from UAL. Erek's art practice is shaped by his lived experiences and aspirations for new futures. His intuitive approach embraces various artistic expressions, including painting, installations, performances, and participatory projects. Viewing the creation of objects as a way to bring new worlds to life, Erek explores the complexities of identity and memory while addressing themes relevant to both his personal narrative and broader societal issues. Erek has exhibited internationally at biennials and in numerous exhibitions.
